NEWBAUM’s COTTON CLOTH BAR TAPE
Proper! Yep it’s finally here! Real woven cotton cloth bar tape. This is the stuff that was on the bars of the road bikes we used as kids. Until synthetic tape came into fashion in the late 80’s drop bars were always wrapped in woven cotton cloth and back-in-the-day we used to waterproof the tape by painting it with shellac. Thinking about the use of this tape in Greece, it’s super hot here so it might be nice to not waterproof it, as the cloth will be dry to the touch and will absorb sweat from your hands. Anyway this is the real deal! Cotton cloth bar tape hand woven in the USA in 16 colours! woop woop! The cloth is also backed with a self adhesive strip so it’s dead easy to fit! no glue required! Each roll is just over 3 meters long so you may need 2 rolls if you have super big drop bars.. but hey then you can use 2 colours! 2 colours can also be woven together on the same bar - which is a super nice look. Note that the cotton is organic and the colour dye is eco dye- no bad stuff here! Beautiful!
Only 7 Euro each 3m roll.
